Walter E. McGuire founded the company in 1919, selling both residential and commercial real estate. The main office was in the Mills Building at 220 Montgomery Street, with other offices at 1604 Haight (at Ashbury), one on Divisadero and yet another in the Mission. Mr. McGuire ran the company until his death in 1959. His daughter, Florian McGuire Moore, took over in 1960 and ran the company until 1980 when her son, Charles Moore, took over the helm. Mr. Moore has expanded the company by opening offices in the Marina, the Financial District, Marin & Burlingame. The main office is located at 2001 Lombard Street.
