In addition to the spectacular water views, it provides stunning close-up perspectives of downtown San Francisco.
These magnificent Date Palms (Phoenix canariensis) were planted along the Embarcadero a few years ago. Formerly the site of a raised concrete freeway platform, these palms and beautiful streetlamps have created an elegant boulevard with open views to the east of the Bay Bridge.
