Lands End is arguably the roughest terrain here in San Francisco, and certainly one of the most beautiful stretches of waterfront we have. This coastal headlands west of the Golden Gate is between the Cliff House and the Palace of Fine Arts. Site of numerous shipwrecks, this area provides a great perspective of our native treasures. Take a wind breaker when you go.
Eagle's Point
This area has many species adaptations and species of plants as a result of what is called gray-green serpentine, formed when certain minerals and rocks come into contact with water. This creates an unusual and beautiful celedon colour to the hillsides.
